Design
From the outside, the new Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer share many of the same design cues. Both are the same size and come with distinctive U-shaped windows, roof racks, and striking nameplate lettering across the front, back, and sides. When you look closer, you will see the Grand Wagoneer offers upscale chrome window surroundings, a more sophisticated grille, and copper-colored tinted windows.
You can also expect more premium lighting for the Grand Wagoneer, including a dance sequence when you use the remote start function.
The difference between the two models becomes most obvious when you step into the cabin. Both models come with heated and ventilated premium Nappa leather-trimmed front seats standard. However, the Grand Wagoneer offers standard 24-way power adjustment and massage, while the Wagoneer has standard 12-way power seats.
The Grand Wagoneer offers high-end Palermo leather on the top trim levels, while the second-row captain's chairs come standard for the Grand Wagoneer and are optional for the Wagoneer. The Grand Wagoneer has about 75 inches of maximum display area between seven screens when it comes to infotainment. The Wagoneer comes with the digital cluster and center touchscreen standard with three other entertainment screens available.
The interior layout is similar for both models, with three rows of seating for seven or eight passengers, depending on your choice in configurations.

Performance
When you choose either the Grand Wagoneer or Wagoneer, you can count on there being a powerful V8 engine under the hood. The Wagoneer comes with a 5.7-liter V-8 with the eTorque 48-volt mild-hybrid system, producing 392 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque. The Wagoneer can tow up 10,000 pounds so that you can bring along trailers, boats, and campers with ease.
The Grand Wagoneer offers a more powerful V8 performance with a 6.4-liter V8 that delivers 471 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque. This engine allows the Grand Wagoneer to travel from zero to 60 MPH in just 6 seconds and tow just under 10,000 pounds. The available integrated trailer brakes and ParkView® Rear Back-Up Camera with hitch zoom and line-up assist allow you to connect trailers and back up with confidence.
When it comes to traction and stability, you can count on exceptional ride comfort and impressive capabilities. The Wagoneer comes with rear-wheel drive standard and has the option of three 4x4 systems for legendary off-roading capability. This model comes with a standard steel coil spring suspension for 8 inches of ground clearance, while the available Quadra-Lift air suspension increases the ground clearance to 10 inches.
The Grand Wagoneer comes with standard four-wheel drive and the Quadra-Lift air suspension. The air suspension can lower to help you get in and out and also enhances aerodynamics.
